I'm really not much of a wine drinker.
[Insert big collective gasp here]
I know, I know, everyone loves wine! Just not me.
2011 is going to be the year I acquire a taste for wine.
I admit, I'm starting challenge #30 from The 30 List a few months late in to this year but I'll make up for it over the next 6 months. Promise! I'm traveling to some of the finest wine countries: Argentina, Chile, Germany, Italy, Spain with some of my best friends. This challenge is going to be beat!
Stay tuned.
Single Glass count (as of October 2011): 10

Sangria on a patio in Ronda, Spain:

We're really working on this goal a lot in Spain!!

I love wine, and have been to a lot of tastings. I still love my sweet wines. I am guessing you have a sweet tooth too because of all your cupcake adventures.
At your local wine store (we have a place called BevMo) look for Moscato d'Asti (for whites) and for reds look for Stella ROsa or Cardinale. The Moscato d'Asti and Stella Rosa can probably be found in the "Italy" region. That stuff is soo good! I have turned a few people into wine lovers with that stuff.
I really hate very dry and spicy wines and tend to stick to chardonnays for whites. Rieslings, Gewurztraminer, Muscats or Moscatos, Semillon, Viognier are usually on wine tasting lists and tend to be on the sweeter side.
Enjoy! It took me awhile to acquire the taste too...now I've gone wine tasting in 5 different continents! I love it.
Yes, I have a major sweet tooth!! Thank you so much for all of the advice/suggestions. I'm definitely going to search out the ones you mentioned :)
See, now THIS I can help you with. I drink a lot (read A LOT) of wine. I just don't happen to drink SPANISH wine.
I will be drinking wine all over Spain . . . and am HAPPY to share!!

I can't wait Ashe!

Lexy,
Me thinks I am sensing a trend here!!! :)

This was one of my goals for 2010. I checked it off, mostly because of rose, and then taking a wine tour and trying 30 different kinds in an afternoon, haha.
Enjoy!
